In The Colors is a story of personal transformation: A journey from the shadows to finding new love, with time, patience, and friendship guiding the way. This record was written and recorded just moments before our world held its collective breath, and these songs tell a story dotted with painful lessons, reluctant hopefulness, and surrender.
This record serves the soil from which grew Echo Magic, my production team and record label. A common language of music alchemized with a bit of good timing has branched into a canopy of friendships, collaboration, family, community, and creative encouragement. The making of In The Colors was a haven from both past and future; industry and politics. An insular and vivid moment in time.

I made a mistake
In the name of love
It’s time to start over
Beaten by change
The danger is strange
I’m already seeing the end
I crave highways
Headlights on roads
I’d trade my ways
For an old car with a bench and an ashtray
Do you ever get tired of starting again,
Looking for You?
I get so tired of starting again
And looking for you
A face in the crowd
Can this be what love is all about?
I crave highways
Headlights on roads
I’d trade my ways
For an old car with a bench and an ashtray
Love is a letter
I’m meaning to send
But it blows in the wind
And falls right off the end
Living the shadow
Needing a friend
It’s the same old story again
I crave highways
Where life’s unfolding
I’d trade my waves
For an old car with a bench and an ashtray
For an old car with a bench and an ashtray
a bit bluesy a bit rock, well a bit of everything , but good , real good .
Has a real good sound and feel to it , can not help get moving to this work. openmind
Hirsch continues to impress on his 3rd album...he seems to have mastered the subtle art of changing things enough, but not too much. It's always Scott Hirsch. You can point to likely influences, but he's truly developed his own thing that at this point just keeps rolling on while I keep smilin. kat_fan

The Canadian singer-songwriter and environmental activist excels at helping to find a silver lining; everything is transitory, but that doesn’t mean it’s unsurmountable. Bandcamp Album of the Day Feb 18, 2020
